In the event of a campus closure or if you just need to reach students who cannot come to campus, Instructors may want to live stream their class. By streaming classes with EchoVideo, students can participate fully in live classes, and even ask questions and answer polls. The new live attendance feature will let users know who is participating remotely and remote student engagement will show up in instructor analytics, just as it does for students who attend in person.
Review Live Streaming Options
Below is a list of steps an EchoVideo Administrator should perform to review your Institution setup for remote teaching and Live Streaming.
- Review the documentation on Configuration Requirements for Live Streaming.
- Review the documentation on Live Streaming with Universal Capture for information about live streaming from within Universal Capture for ad hoc captures.
- If instructors will be using the in-classroom appliances for doing Live Streaming of ad hoc captures, be sure to distribute the Universal Capture URL for each room needed to the appropriate instructors. See Universal Capture for Admins, specifically the Universal Capture Online section of the article.
- Review the additional information in the Network and Bandwidth topic for Admins (optional).
