Features, Improvements, and Fixes

Features

In Progress Exam Alert

Reports for exams that are still in progress will include a warning on all report tabs so that instructors and administrators are aware that metrics and results are not yet final and learners may still be working on additional attempts. Learners who have not submitted any attempt for the exam will show with Not Started status.

Prevent Backwards Navigation

Instructors have the option to allow or disallow backwards navigation when creating an exam. When this option is selected, learners can freely navigate through test questions. When this option is not selected, learners cannot return to previous questions once they have moved on.

First Response Only

Instructors have the option to accept only the learners first response for a question. When this option is selected, learners will not be able to change their answer to a question, once saved.

Updated Exam Navigation for Learners

When completing an exam attempt, learners will save each question as they complete it and will have the option to reset their response, based on the instructor's settings for the exam. The Finish button for the exam is moved to the top of the exam page to prevent accidental submissions when navigating between questions.

Find & Replace in the Test Editor

Instructors will have additional options in the test editor to allow them to better manage their content. Tests can be keyword searched or filtered by question type so that instructors can quickly find specific content. When searching, instructors have the option to replace text across multiple questions so that they can quickly make updates and resolve errors.

Preview Narratives & Case Studies

Questions that are linked to a narrative or case study will include an indicator, as well as a preview option so that instructors can quickly review all content associated with a question.

Improvements

Contextual Help with Content

When creating or editing a question or exam, instructors will have access to additional help directly from EchoExam, making it easy to understand all available options and settings.

• Support pre-configured tests for content suppliers.
• Expanded content pagination to include 250-item display option.
• Implemented unique IDs for items from content suppliers.
• Support for additional special characters with titles from content suppliers.
• Improved Browser Lock functionality so that learners will not have to log in again after opening the browser lock exam.

Fixes

• Resolved issue where printing from iPad devices did not include all pages.
• Updated print layout to include support for column selection on multiple select and multiple choice questions.
• Improved landing page search for content suppliers.
• Fixed issue where learner response was truncated on some reports.
• Updated import templating for content suppliers.
• Resolved in-line print layout errors for images and certain content.
• Fixed issue where page would load continuously when previewing certain test contents.
• Updated report download for learners with missed exam status.
• Improved print layout to prevent instructions appearing separate from question text.
• Resolved typo in report dropdown.
