With an EchoPoll LMS / VLE integration, you can
- Synchronize courses from the LMS / VLE
- Synchronize your course roster from the LMS / VLE
- Push results to the LMS / VLE Gradebook.
To import a course from an LMS / VLE, it must first be linked to EchoPoll. If you need to configure EchoPoll to your LMS / VLE, an EchoPoll account administrator must contact Echo360 Support at support@echo360.com.
Adding the EchoPoll LTI Link to Schoology
- Log in to Schoology with an instructor account and navigate to your course.
- Select Add Materials and select Add File / Link / External Tool.
- Select External Tool.
- Choose EchoPoll Registration as the tool provider and enter EchoPoll Registration as the title.
- Click Submit.
- Follow the EchoPoll Registration link and sign in to or create your EchoPoll account.
Creating Your Course
- Log into EchoPoll with your instructor account.
- Click on Create and select Course.
The New Course modal opens.
- Select Import from LMS, as shown in the figure below.
- From the dropdown, select the LMS you want to use (there may only be one).
- Click Sign in to LMS / VLE, as shown in the figure below. If you are already signed in, skip to the next step.
Depending on your LMS and configuration, you may see an authorization screen after signing in to your LMS. Once you authorize the connection, you will be redirected back to EchoPoll with a valid connection between your EchoPoll and your LMS / VLE. You will see a list of your LMS / VLE courses on the Import from LMS tab.
- Select Add on the course(s) you wish to import into EchoPoll, as shown in the figure below.
You can select multiple courses.
- Once you have made all your selections, click Import, as shown in the figure below.
The course(s) are imported, and you will see the course(s) in your EchoPoll My Courses tab.
- Click Open Course and go to the Details tab.
- Optionally, click Edit to edit the description of your course.
- Once you have completed any edits to the details page, click Roster.
All registered learners will be displayed.
The list of learners will be automatically synced from the LMS / VLE nightly to ensure you have a current roster. You can also choose to sync your roster anytime by clicking Sync Roster. Users will be pending until they have created an EchoPoll account.
- Your students should receive an email to create their accounts if needed. Once their accounts are created, their EchoPoll and LMS / VLE accounts will be automatically connected based on their email addresses. You can also use the Resend Invites button to resend the account creation email to any pending students.
Now that you have imported your LMS / VLE course into EchoPoll, you can run sessions and assignments! After you run a session or assignment, you can upload the results to your LMS / VLE. Go to the Results tab, select the Scores tab, select Export, and select your LMS / VLE.
