Welcome to EchoExam. Once you have redeemed your publisher code to create your EchoExam account, you must redeem your textbook title code to start creating tests and delivering exams. Getting Started for Instructors provides more information about My Library, My Courses, and My Reports.
Redeem a Textbook Title Code
- From a web browser, go to your region's login page:
- Enter your email address and click Sign In.
If you are part of multiple institutions, from the dropdown, choose your institution and click Sign In.
- Enter your password and click Sign In.
My Library opens.
- Click Publisher Titles from the menu on the left.
- Click Redeem a Title Code.
The Redeem Title Codes modal opens.
- Enter the Title Code to redeem.
You can add multiple codes, separated by a comma or semicolon.
- Click Redeem.
- Click Finish.
The textbook appears in Publisher Titles.
Create a Test From a Textbook
Once you have added your textbook, quickly create a test from the questions.
- Double-click the publisher textbook you have added.
The Questions tab is displayed by default.
- The navigation options on the left include sections configured by the publisher.
- The first section will be expanded and selected by default. Click to select a different section, and scroll to see additional sections.
- The textbook cover is displayed on the right, along with the textbook name, copyright, edition, and publisher.
- Publisher content is locked and cannot be edited or changed.
- Use the navigation options on the left side to navigate between different sections within the title.
The questions in the selected folder are displayed.
- Search for questions using the search bar.
- Filter questions by question type. The default is Show All.
- Sort questions by Updated, Created, A to Z, and Z to A from the drop-down in the top right. The default is Updated.
- Find and select the questions to add.
- When you have selected multiple questions, the Bulk Action menu appears at the bottom of the screen, as shown in the figure below.
- Click Create Test, as shown in the figure above.
- Give your test a unique name and click Create Test.
The question(s) are added to your test.
Once created, any test you create can be used as many times as needed! You can also create a new test from scratch, add additional questions to an existing test, or create a new test using the Test Generator.
Use an Included Test From a Textbook
Publisher titles will optionally include tests in addition to question lists.
- Double-click the publisher textbook you have added.
The Questions tab is displayed by default.
- Select the Tests tab.
- The navigation options on the left include sections configured by the publisher.
- The first section will be expanded and selected by default. Click to select a different section and scroll to see additional sections.
- The textbook cover is displayed on the right, along with the textbook name, copyright, edition, and publisher.
- Publisher content is locked and cannot be edited or changed.
- Use the navigation options on the left side to navigate between different sections within the title.
The tests in the selected folder are displayed.
- Search for tests using the search bar.
- Sort questions by Updated, Created, A to Z, and Z to A from the drop-down in the top right. The default is Updated.
- Find the test and click the action menu.
- Choose from the following:
- Duplicate - Creates a copy of the test in Tests and pretends
copy -
to the test name. - New Exam - Opens the New Exam modal to create an online exam.
- Preview - Opens the test to preview how it is displayed for the learner.
- Print - The Print Test window opens to allow you to customize the physical copy.
- Duplicate - Creates a copy of the test in Tests and pretends
