In-app notifications are available only to users with Administrator and / or Instructor roles.
EchoVideo provides in-app notifications, customizable to the things that matter most to you. The Notification icon displays in the upper-right of your EchoVideo toolbar.
Notifications are customized by each user from the Account Settings page, as shown in the figure below. Furthermore, because in-app notifications are individual user-based, they will not change or override any email notifications your organization has in place; they appear in addition to email notifications.

Choose Who Can Trigger Your Notifications
When notifications are turned on, you can refine what you receive by choosing who you want to receive notifications from. For example, you may never want to receive notifications for actions you took within the system because you are aware that you performed those actions. Alternatively, you may want to receive notifications for your actions as a reminder or to double-check your work. The following groups are available options:
-
System
These are actions that are system-generated or automatic. They may include processing scheduled captures, transcripts becoming available for content published into a section with ASR (All Section Content) toggled on, and other similar tasks. -
Administrators
These are actions that an Admin in the system has taken. They may include an Admin manually reprocessing content, archiving content, ordering closed captions, etc. -
Other
These are actions that non-admin users (such as instructors and schedulers) perform in the system. They may include a student creating a new Q&A post in your course, a TA creating or editing a transcript, etc. -
Me
These are actions that you trigger within the system. They may include deleting your content, ordering a transcript, responding to a Q&A post, etc.
Select at least one option to receive notifications.
Choose What Can Trigger Your Notifications
When notifications are turned on, you can refine what you receive by choosing what types of events you want to trigger your notifications. For example, you may never want to receive media processing notifications because you already receive email notifications on these events, or you may always want to receive processing notifications because you work within EchoVideo more frequently and might not want to check your email. The following events are available options.
-
Processing Started
Turn this on to receive notifications when media processing has started. You can choose to get success notifications, failed notifications, or both. -
Processing Complete

Management
Turn this on to receive notifications when content is deleted / soft deleted, archived, or restored. -
