Registering PointSolutions Application

1. Log into Brightspace with an administrator account.
2. Click the Settings button in the upper right-corner.
3. Under the Organization Related section, click Manage Extensibility.
4. Click Register an App.
5. Under Application Name, enter PointSolutions Registration.
6. Under Trusted URL, enter:
   https://oauth.turningtechnologiessg.net/oauth-integration-server/authenticate

   Nothing is required under description.

7. Ensure that Enable this application is selected.
8. Select I accept the Non-Commercial Developer Agreement.
9. Click Register Application.
10. Communicate the Application ID and Application Key to your Echo360 support agent.

Setting up the External Learning Tool

1. Log into Brightspace with an administrator account.
2. Click the Settings button in the upper right-corner.
3. Under the Organization Related section, click External Learning Tools.
4. Click Settings.
5. Scroll down to and locate the Security Settings section and ensure the following are selected:
   • Allow sending system username to tool provider
   • Allow sending user email to tool provider
   • Allow sending user name to tool provider
   • Allow sending system role to tool provider
6. Click Save and Close.
7. Click New Link.
8. Enter PointSolutions Registration in the Title field.
9. Enter the URL provided by Echo360. The URL below is an example of what should be entered:
   https://account.turningtechnologiessg.net/account/lti/index/9ca698f6-77ae-497e-be06-aecb92c7ea0b
10. Ensure that Allow users to view this link is selected.
11. Ensure that Sign messages with key/secret with and Link key/secret are selected.
    

    Selecting Link Key/Secret will deselect Tool consumer key/secret and allow you to enter the key and secret provided by Echo360 into the Key and Secret fields

12. Enter the Key provided by Echo360.
13. Enter the Secret provided by Echo360.

    Note Requests for Keys and Secrets should be sent to support@echo360.com.

14. Leave the Custom Parameters blank.
15. Click Use link security settings under the security setting section.
16. For Make link available to:, select Current Org Unit: <Org Unit Name>.
17. Click Add Org Units.
18. Search for your Org Unit and select your Org Unit. Select the All descendants option.
19. Click Insert.
20. Click Save and Close.

Adding the LTI to a Course

1. Log in to Brightspace with an administrator or instructor account and navigate to the desired course.
2. Navigate to the content area of the course.
3. Select Add a module under the Table of Contents and name it PointSolutions.
4. Select the Add Existing Activities drop down and then select External Learning Tools.
5. Search for and select the PointSolutions Registration option.
6. Select the drop down next to the PointSolutions Registration link and then select Edit Properties In-place.
7. Select the check box for Open as External Resource.

Registering a PointSolutions Account through Brightspace

To link your Brightspace Instructor account with your PointSolutions account, create your PointSolutions account through the registration link in Brightspace. You must you use your school email address for the registration process.

1. Log into Brightspace and navigate to your Course.
2. Navigate to the content area of the course.
3. Within the PointSolutions module, select PointSolutions Registration.
4. Enter your school or organization email address, if needed, and click Next.

   If you don’t have an account, click Get Started Here from the bottom of the page. Check your email and click the link to verify your account. Enter all required fields as noted by the asterisks. Enter and confirm your password in the fields provided. Select the box labeled I agree to Echo360 End User License Agreement. Click Continue.

5. Once signed into your PointSolutions account, select the Brightspace tab next to the Available Courses tab and click Brightspace Authentication.

   Sign into Brightspace if prompted.

6. Click Continue. Optionally, check the box next to Do not ask me again for this application.

   The PointSolutions Pro dashboard opens.

   Only courses in which you are an Instructor or Teaching Assistant will show up in PointSolutions.
