Creating a Custom User

1. Log into Blackboard as a System Administrator.
2. Go to the System Admin tab.
3. Under User, click Users.
4. Select Create User.
5. Enter Turning for first name and Integration for last name.
6. Enter Turning for username.
7. Create a secure password in the field provided.
8. Select Submit.

Enabling REST API Integration

1. Log into Blackboard as a System Administrator.
2. Go to the System Admin tab.
3. Under Integrations, click Rest API Integrations.
4. Click Create Integration.
5. Input c78c4032-d661-4b97-b4e3-3a17ee4cff94 into Application ID.
6. Use the browse function to locate and select the Turning user created in the previous section.
7. Leave End User Access marked as yes and change Authorized To Act As User to Yes.
8. Click Submit.

Configuring the LTI Link

1. Log into Blackboard as a System Administrator.
2. Go to the System Admin tab.
3. Locate the Integrations section and click the LTI Tool Providers link.
4. Select Register LTI 1.1 Provider.
5. In the Provider Domain field, enter account.turningtechnologiessg.net.
6. Leave the Provider Domain Status as Approved. Nothing goes into Secondary Hostnames.
7. Change Default Configuration to Set Globally.
8. Enter the Tool Provider Key provided by Echo360.
9. Enter the Tool Provider Secret provided by Echo360.

   Requests for the Tool Provider Key and Tool Provider Secret should be sent to support@echo360.com. Please include the Blackboard URL with the request.

10. Enter the following in Tool Provider Custom Parameters.
    user_id=@X@user.id@X@
11. To the right of Send User Data, select Send user data only over SSL.
12. To the right of User Fields to Send, select Role in course, Name, and Email Address.
13. Leave Allow Membership Service Access as no.
14. Click Submit.
15. Mouse over account.turningtechnologies.eu, click the drop-down arrow and select Manage Placements.
16. Select Create Placement.
17. In the Label field, enter PointSolutions Registration.
18. In the Handle field, enter PointSolutions Registration.
19. Verify Yes is selected under Availability.
20. For Type, select Course tool and Allow Student Access.
21. Enable the Launch in New Window option.

    Some web browsers will treat LTI links as a pop-up and block it, this will prevent that from happening.

22. To add the icon, go to https://cdn.turningtechnologies.com/images/store/SVC-PREMSUPP.png.
23. Click Browse and navigate to where you saved the icon. Click Open.
24. Enter the Tool Provider URL in the Tool Provider URL field provided by Echo360. An example would be: https://account.turningtechnologiessg.net/account/lti/index/9ca698f6-77ae-497e-be06-aecb92c7ea0b
25. Click Submit.
