If your participants use mobile devices to check in, you can take attendance with PointSolutions Web. Once you close attendance, you can make adjustments to each record as needed. You can export your course's attendance results to view and edit them in Excel.
A VPN is not recommended for participants or instructors during polling and / or attendance sessions. The VPN could potentially report a different location than what the user is in, preventing them from checking in to the attendance.
Taking Attendance
- From a web browser, go to your region's login page:
- Enter your email and password as prompted.
- Click Open on the PointSolutions card.
- Locate the desired course and click Select.
The course opens to the Content page.
- Select Attendance from the top navigation.
The Attendance page opens.
- Optionally, click Attendance Settings and toggle on Location-Based Attendance.
When setting up attendance for your course, you can specify a geographic area within which your participants must be to successfully check in.
This attendance check depends on the participant's browser or mobile device's geolocation, so please ensure the participants allow our website or app to see their location when prompted.- Select a check in location.
- Start typing in the address box to search for an address.
- Drag and drop the map and use the zoom-in and out buttons.
- Click on the map to set the location pin.
- Select a radius (from 15 to 60 meters) from the drop-down.
Participants must enable location services to use this feature.
- Click Back to Attendance.
- Select a check in location.
- Click Open Attendance to open attendance.
Participants can now check in.
If there are no participants in your roster, Open Attendance will not be active.
- Click Close Attendance to close attendance.
Editing Attendance Results
- Locate the desired course and click Select.
The course opens to the Content page.
- Select Attendance from the top navigation.
The Attendance page opens.
- Use the left and right arrows to scroll through your attendance.
- Mouse over an attendance name and click the pencil icon to edit or delete the attendance record.
The Attendance Details window opens.
- Click in the Attendance Name text box to change the name.
By default, the name is the date that attendance was taken.
- Click Save.
The attendance name is updated.
- Optionally, click Cancel to close the Attendance Details window without saving any changes.
- Alternatively, click Delete to delete the attendance record.
- Click on the red X or the green checkmark for a participant for an attendance record.
The Attendance Status window opens.
- Click Present or Absent.
- Click Save.
The participant's attendance record is updated.
- Optionally, click Cancel to close the Attendance Status window without saving any changes.
Exporting Attendance Results
- Locate the desired course and click Select.
The course opens to the Content page.
- Select Attendance from the top navigation.
The Attendance page opens.
- Click Export.
- Choose Excel Export.

An attendance report for the selected course is downloaded to your Downloads folder.
The report includes the following:
- First Attendance Date
- Most Recent Attendance Date
- Instructor Name
- Participants
- Participant Email Address
- Total Sessions
- Total Present
- Present Percentage
- Total Absent
- Absent Percentage
- All Attendance Records
