Using TurningPoint With Panopto

If Capture PowerPoint is checked:

Option 1:

1. Ensure that Panopto is not running.
2. Open TurningPoint and select preferences.
3. Check Add-in always loaded. 
4. Close TurningPoint.

The next time Panopto is launched, it will also launch PowerPoint in the foreground, but it will load the TurningPoint add-in as well. These steps will only need to be followed once, but TurningPoint will need to be closed before launching Panopto.

Option 2:

1. Ensure that Panopto is not running.
2. Open TurningPoint and launch PowerPoint Polling.
3. Open your presentation.
4. Launch Panopto and make sure that Capture PowerPoint is checked.
5. Click Record and then begin the presentation.
6. After the presentation is over, stop the recording from within Panopto.
7. Close PowerPoint and view your sessions.

If Capture PowerPoint is not checked:

There should be no issue using Panopto and TurningPoint with the Capture PowerPoint option unchecked. 

The reason that Capture PowerPoint causes an issue is because it opens an instance of PowerPoint in the background. TurningPoint detects that PowerPoint is open and will not launch PowerPoint Polling.
