A PresenterCard, a radio frequency device, must be paired with PointSolutions before it can be used as a presentation device. The PresenterCard gives you the ability to move around the room while running a PointSolutions Desktop Polling session.
Pairing a PresenterCard
- Plug in a receiver to your computer, open PointSolutions Desktop, and sign in to your instructor account.
- Click the channel number below Receiver.
The Preferences window opens.
- Verify that the PresenterCard is programmed to the same channel as the receiver.
See Changing the PresenterCard Channel to change the channel.
- Scroll to the PresenterCard section and click Change next to PresenterCard Device ID.
The Pair PresenterCard window opens.
- Press any button on the PresenterCard.
The Device ID of the PresenterCard is displayed next to Detected Device ID.
- Click Save.
- Click Close to close the Preferences window.
Changing the PresenterCard Channel
- Press the Channel button on the PresenterCard.
- Use the Back or Forward buttons to select the correct channel number.
- Press Channel to save the new channel number.
The PresenterCard can now be used with the PowerPoint Polling and Anywhere Polling environments.
Changing the Programmable Buttons
- Plug in a receiver to your computer, open PointSolutions Desktop, and sign in to your instructor account.
- From the PointSolutions Desktop dashboard, click the channel number below Receiver.
The Preferences window opens.
- Scroll to the PresenterCard section.
- Click the Programmable Button 1 dropdown.
- Choose one of the options:
- Play / Pause Countdown Timer - Starts and pauses the question countdown timer.
- Show / Hide Chart Window (AW) - Shows and hides the question chart window in Anywhere Polling.
- Show / Hide Presentation Window (AW) - Shows and hides the presentation window in Anywhere Polling.
- Show / Hide Connection Information - Shows and hides the connection information.
- Mark Question Anonymous - Marks a question as anonymous so that it isn't associated with a learner.
- Mark Answer Correct (AW) - Marks the answer correct in Anywhere Polling.
- Repoll (PP) - Opens a polling slide to repoll learners in PowerPoint Polling.
- Toggle % / Count - Toggle between the percentage of responses received and the number of responses counted.
- None - No action.
- Repeat Steps 4 and 5 for Programmable Button 2 and Programmable Button 3.
- Click Close to close the Preferences window.
