The majority of Widget authoring will happen within layers. Layers allow you to add new media or actions to a widget. By default, the first layer is always provided within the authoring template.
To add a layer, click "Add Layer" after the last layer, or between two existing layers.
As a shortcut for creating similar layers, you can duplicate layers by clicking on the "Copy" button and confirm.
After layers have been added, you may want to rearrange the order. No problem!
Simply grab the drag handle to the right of the layer and move the layers to the desired order.
If you would like to permanently remove a layer from the widget, you can click on the delete button and confirm.
Adding and editing content in each layer could not be easier. Simply enter or edit your content directly into the appropriate layer. There is no save needed, since we use an auto-save feature. You can see the auto-save in action at the top of the screen and in the toolbar.
The exception to the rule for placing data in layers would be adding background media to applicable widgets. If the template accepts background media, you will see a prompt in the middle of the widget canvas to add background media (example-Hotspot Widgets).
Your background media will now appear on the canvas. if background media has already been applied, you can replace it by clicking the swap button above the canvas.
