Fundamentals of Themes

We want to make it easy to design something awesome, and that includes your brand’s look and feel.  Our theme templates let you easily configure the visual design of your learning objects and apply it to any widget or course with just a click of the button.  Using themes you can fine tune every aspect of the design without knowing the ins and outs of CSS: change the colors, buttons, text, widgets, and tables.  

You start with a few default themes you can use as a starting point for your own theme.  Click the “+” button to add a new theme, and select an existing theme to use as the starting point.

Once you have created your new theme, you can adjust any aspect of your style by selecting from the tabs at the top.  You can fine tune the general (basics), media, text, widgets, tables, course, or navigation styling to suit your learning experience.  

Once you are done adjusting your theme, you can publish it to make it available for use in your learning objects.  Knowbly™ will warn you if the theme you have altered is already in use so you can make sure your changes will have the intended effect on existing content.  You can also apply your new theme to any course or widget by selecting the theme icon in their editors:
