Publishing a course allows you to get a package of your course which you can then upload to a LMS/LXP or serve via the web. When you are ready to publish, you have two options for courses:
- SCORM (1.2 or 2004): Used for exporting your course to upload into an LMS that supports SCORM.
- Web Standard: Used to post your course on a website. Export a .zip file of the HTML, CSS, and Javascript files for the complete course. Once exported these files can be unpacked, modified as you wish, and posted to your site.
You can access the course publishing screen in two ways:
1. From the course dashboard, on your course tile click the three-dot icon to display the options menu. Then, click Publish.
2. From the course editor, select the gear icon in the upper left corner, and choose Publish.
You should now be at the course publishing screen tab. You can move to the Details tab from this view if you wish to change any course metadata (title, description, etc) at this time.
When you are ready to publish, first select the Publishing format you wish to export.
When you select a SCORM version, you will also be able to configure scoring options for the course and each card (scored, weight, and passing threshold for assessments).
When you're ready, click the Download button. Depending on the size of your course, you will either be able to save the published course file directly, or receive a message that the course will be emailed to you.
If the course is emailed to you it should land within 15 minutes. You will receive an email from "albert@knowblyapp.com" with a link to the file package you have requested. Please check your Spam folder if you do not see this email land in your Inbox.
Note: If you have blank content in your course (block, lesson, activity, or assessment) you will receive a warning when you hit Download. You'll have the option to click into and add content to that missing part of the course or else continue, which will remove the blank content from the published package.
