NOTICE: EXAMVIEW END-OF-LIFE ANNOUNCEMENT
As of June 30, 2024, ExamView will officially reach its end of life.
Please be advised that after ExamView’s end-of-life date of June 30th, 2024, we will no longer be providing updates, security patches, or technical support for any version of ExamView. Our obligations to maintain or support ExamView will cease as of this date. Continued use of ExamView post end-of-life may expose you to increased security vulnerabilities, compatibility issues, and potentially reduced functionality. To avoid these risks and ensure uninterrupted service, we encourage migrating to EchoExam, which is designed to offer superior security, compatibility, and a range of advanced features that align with current technological standards. Questions may be exported as a Rich Text Format (RTF), HTML, ExamView Question Bank (BNK), ANGEL (ZIP), Blackboard 6.0-7.0 (ZIP), Blackboard 7.1-9.0 (ZIP), Blackboard Learn 9.1 (ZIP), Brightspace by D2L (ZIP), Canvas (ZIP), Moodle 3.1.2 (ZIP), Sakai (ZIP), Schoology (ZIP), or WebCT CE 6 / Vista 4 (ZIP) file.
The Rich Text Format (RTF) provides an easy way to export to a program such as a word processor. Depending on the application you use to import an RTF file, some of the formatting options may not be supported. For example, WordPad does not accommodate tables, borders, shading, etc.
The export option supports both the WebCT and Blackboard (Bb) formats. When you export a test using either of these formats, the program formats the questions and images and then compresses them into one ZIP file that you can import into your course management system. Refer to the topics under the Working with an LMS category for details.
