NOTICE: EXAMVIEW END-OF-LIFE ANNOUNCEMENT
As of June 30, 2024, ExamView will officially reach its end of life.
Please be advised that after ExamView’s end-of-life date of June 30th, 2024, we will no longer be providing updates, security patches, or technical support for any version of ExamView. Our obligations to maintain or support ExamView will cease as of this date. Continued use of ExamView post end-of-life may expose you to increased security vulnerabilities, compatibility issues, and potentially reduced functionality. To avoid these risks and ensure uninterrupted service, we encourage migrating to EchoExam, which is designed to offer superior security, compatibility, and a range of advanced features that align with current technological standards. ExamView Test Player on LAN or the Internet
The ExamView Test Player is a separate program that lets your students take a test at a computer. Depending on the selected options, students can check their own work, receive feedback for incorrect responses and print a detailed report. A LAN-based test can include the following question types: Multiple Choice, Multiple Response, True / False, Completion (Fill-in-the-Blank), Yes / No, Numeric Response, Short Answer, Essay, Case, Problem, Other and Matching. You can also include multimedia clips linked to specific questions (e.g., movies, animations, or audio).
IMPORTANT
Your students must use the latest version of the ExamView Test Player to view LAN-based tests created with this version of the ExamView Test Generator.
If you have access to a local area network, it is recommended that you store the LAN-based tests on the server. You can install the ExamView Test Player on the server or each individual workstation. If you decide to install the program on individual workstations, run the ExamView Test Player setup at each computer. The setup program should be provided on a separate disk. If you received a CD-ROM, a separate setup program for the player should be located in a subfolder within the ExamView folder.
NOTE
(PC Only)
As a best practice, you can create a shortcut for the program and set the target properties to include the following options. For example, set the target to c:\examview\evpro.exe /testpath=path.
/nobrowse turns off the option for students to change the path (or location) of the tests.
/noprefs directs the program not to write the preferences to the local computer.
/testpath= allows you to set the default path for the tests.
