When media is generated (like a capture) or uploaded to the system, it gets a file name or other title identifier that may or may not be descriptive of the media. Especially in the case of classroom captures, the captured video may have the same title as the section to which it is published, with no differentiation from one captured lecture to another. The original file name may appear as the content's title for uploaded videos or presentations.
EchoVideo allows you to edit the media details as needed, providing a more descriptive title and making the content easier to find in your Library or Collection. You can also add a description and keyword tags.
To edit the name and / or description of media
- There are a few ways to open the Edit Media details dialog box:
- Click the media tile button and select Edit Details. This is the same for both Library media tiles and Collection media tiles.
- From a Collection, click on the media tile to open the Media Details page, then select Edit Details below the preview / playback panel.
- Click on the media tile from the Library to open the Media Details page. As the figure below shows, the General tab under Details is selected by default.
- Click a media icon from the Class List and select Edit Details (instructors only).
- Under General, enter or edit the Title, Description, and / or Tags as necessary—separate multiple tags with commas.
- Click Save.
The media's information changes to show the updated Title, Description, and / or Tags.
