Monitoring Q&A Discussion
Last Updated: Jan 04, 2019 11:44AM EST

This article applies to:  Echo360 Instructors

NOTE: Some institutions disable the Q&A functionality; if you do not see the Discussions button or panel described below, check with your school's help desk to see if this is the case with your institution.

The Discussions panel is one way to both encourage and monitor student questions, responses, or other relevant posts in the classroom. Any posts made in the classroom also appear in the Q&A tab for the course.

As an instructor, you can delete any questions or responses posted by students if they are inappropriate. Hover over the question or response to reveal an X icon in the top left corner. Click the X to remove the post. Note that deleting questions also deletes any responses posted to the question.

To endorse a particular post, click the "thumbs up" icon.

To monitor classroom questions/discussions

  1. Go to the classroom.
  2. In the classroom toolbar, click the Discussions icon (shown below) to open the Discussions panel and view student posts and responses, pose questions, and respond to students’ questions.

Your entry is added to the discussion. It can also be viewed on the Q&A tab for the course.
