Deleting a Class or Collection
Last Updated: Jun 03, 2019 11:32AM EDT

This article applies to:  Echo360 Instructors

When you delete a classall associated content and corresponding activities, notes, and analytics are also deleted from it. The content is not deleted, however, and if you own it, will still appear in your Content library. If you do not own the item but still need access to it, you may consider creating a copy of the content before deleting the class.

When you delete a collection, you are asked whether you also want to delete the classes within the collection. If you select to not delete the classes, they are moved back into the main class list, but the collection is deleted.

NOTE: Classes created by a capture schedule cannot be deleted until the capture is removed (unpublished) from the class. Unpublishing may be restricted by your administrator, meaning you may not be able to delete the class. Manually created classes can be deleted without removing the media first (unpublishing and deleting happen all at once).

To delete a class

  1. Navigate to the class list for a section, either by clicking a Course tile on the Echo360 Home page, or via a link in your LMS.
  2. Click on the delete icon located on the right side of the class row (it looks like a trash can), as shown in the below figure.
