Each class in the class list contains an icon for the type of media published to the class. Tapping on the class opens the classroom viewer, showing the video by default. If there is a presentation in the class, there is a slide-deck icon in the top right corner.

Tap the slide deck icon in the top right corner to open the slides in the classroom view. Logically, if there is only a presentation published to the class, tapping the class from the class list shows the presentation in the classroom view.

Notice how the icon in the top right corner changes to show a video icon (if there is a video in the class). Tapping this icon swaps the main view back to the video. This is shown in the below figure.

The student presentation view allows for:

  • Overview of all slides in the deck (shown below)
  • Viewing of slides (tap a slide to view it - hidden slides are replaced with a "hidden" icon indicating you cannot see it)
  • Swiping left or right to scroll through the slide deck
  • Pinching and Zooming of slides and images.
  • Responding to activity questions (short answer activity slide shown below the slide overview figure)
  • Taking notes and bookmarking slides for later review.
  • Adding questions or responding to discussion posts for the class.

When you are viewing the slides for a class, tap the menu button for the class and notice that you have a Refresh option. Use this in the event the instructor changed something about the slide deck while you were viewing (hid/revealed slides, or added or removed slides from the presentation).

The instructor presentation view allows for:

  • Overview of all slides in the deck (shown below)
  • Viewing of slides
  • Swiping left or right to scroll through the slide deck
  • Pinching and Zooming of slides and images
  • Showing/Hiding slides in the deck - tap the "hide" icon (it looks like an eye) in the top right corner of the slide view (second figure below) to hide/unhide slides from students
Note that the Windows App does not yet provide for instructor show/hide slides functionality.
  • Activity question actions, including show responses, close polling, reset question, and seeing the number of responses given
  • Adding questions or responding to discussion posts for the class.
