Adding/Publishing a Presentation to a Class
Last Updated: Jan 28, 2019 01:14PM EST

This article applies to:  Echo360 Instructors

You can add a presentation to a class by:

  • Upload - upload an existing presentation from your computer or other online source.
  • Import - import a presentation from your Echo360 Library.
  • Create - create a new presentation on the fly.

Once the presentation has been published, you can make it available or unavailable, or set an availability schedule, allowing the item to be viewed beginning on a certain date and/or for a set period of time.

NOTE: Each class can contain ONE presentation and ONE video. You can replace an existing item with a different one from your library, but all associated data, analytics, notes, etc., are deleted from the system.
If you need to provide multiple presentations for a particular class, create a new class to hold the media, then create a new group to hold the classes with related content. Then reorder the list to move the related class into the group.

Troubleshooting: If you use a plug-in (such as ChemDraw) to generate equations, molecular drawings, or other items for your PowerPoint presentation, you may find these being stripped or otherwise altered when you upload the file. In this case, convert the PPT to PDF and upload the PDFAlternately, for Windows users, use the Echo360 PowerPoint Ribbon add-on to publish the presentation. Both of these methods retain plug-in content in the presentation.
