Derby to MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server Database Migration Fixes

Summary

As of EchoSystem 5.4, Echo360 will no longer support customers using the Derby database. Customers will not be able to upgrade to the latest version until their ESS database is migrated from Derby to either MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server. This article contains important information regarding fixes made to the Derby migration tool.

Relevance

Customers using EchoSystem 5.2 or 5.3 using the Derby database will need to plan to migrate their ESS database.

Solution

  1. If using EchoSystem 5.2 SP2, then download the hotfix found here. Instructions for how to install the hotfix are located in the README.txt file in the zipped hotfix folder.
  2. If using EchoSystem 5.3 GA or SP1, then download the hotfix found here. Instructions for how to install the hotfix are located in the README.txt file in the zipped hotfix folder.
  3. If using EchoSystem 5.3 SP2 or SP3, then download the hotfix found here. Instructions for how to install the hotfix are located in the README.txt file in the zipped hotfix folder.

Once the appropriate hotfix has been applied these instructions explain the steps necessary to accomplish the migration.
